DOT SAP evaluation cost — and a same-week telehealth appointment

Two questions come up before anything else: what does this cost, and how soon can I be seen? Here are straight answers to both. One flat fee covers your initial and follow-up evaluation, and most Pennsylvania clients get a secure telehealth slot within a few business days.

One flat evaluation fee

Quoted before you book, covering both the initial and the follow-up evaluation. No hourly billing.

Same-week scheduling

Most PA clients are seen within 2–5 business days, with evening telehealth slots for shift workers.

100% telehealth statewide

No travel, no lost shift. Secure video from anywhere in Pennsylvania, accepted by DOT employers.

What the fee covers — and what it doesn't

Included in your fee

  • Initial clinical assessment (60–90 minutes)
  • Written recommendation issued to your DER
  • Follow-up evaluation after program completion
  • Written follow-up testing plan
  • Clearinghouse entries handled correctly and on time

Billed by someone else

  • The education or treatment program your SAP recommends
  • Your directly observed return-to-duty test (employer-arranged)
  • Follow-up tests during your testing plan (employer-arranged)

From first call to cleared — 5 steps

The whole path is defined by the federal return-to-duty process. Here's how it runs when you start this week.

  1. 1

Call or submit an intake — get the fee up front

You get the flat evaluation fee and the next open telehealth slot in the same conversation. No deposit to ask a question.

  2. 2

    Book a same-week telehealth slot

Most Pennsylvania clients are scheduled within 2–5 business days, evenings included. Nothing to drive to — you meet by secure video from home or the yard.

  3. 3

    Complete the evaluation (60–90 minutes)

A DOT-qualified SAP walks through your history, the testing event, and your circumstances, then issues a written recommendation for education or treatment.

  4. 4

    Finish the recommended program

You complete the specific program recommended — billed by that provider, not by us. We stay in touch so nothing stalls on paperwork.

  5. 5

    Follow-up evaluation and return-to-duty clearance

Included in the same fee. Once you're cleared, your DER is notified, your return-to-duty test is scheduled, and your follow-up testing plan is issued.
