Affordable SAP evaluation — frequently asked

What's the lowest price for a DOT SAP evaluation in Pennsylvania?

We publish a flat, transparent fee at scheduling — no surprise add-ons. The SAP evaluation fee covers your initial clinical assessment, the report to your employer's DER, the follow-up evaluation, and your written follow-up testing plan. Call 717 614-0299 for a quote for your specific situation.

Are cheaper SAP evaluations safe to use?

Only if the SAP is DOT-qualified under 49 CFR Part 40. A discount evaluation from an unqualified provider can invalidate your return-to-duty process and force you to pay again for a compliant one. Always confirm the SAP meets Part 40 qualifications before you pay.

Does insurance cover the SAP evaluation?

Some commercial behavioral-health plans reimburse SAP evaluations; many don't. We provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer. The education or treatment program your SAP recommends is more often covered by insurance than the evaluation itself.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer payment options so cost isn't the reason you delay scheduling. Every week you delay is a week you can't work — talk to us when you call.

Does my employer have to pay for the SAP evaluation?

No. DOT does not require employers to pay. Some union contracts include SAP coverage and a small number of employers pay voluntarily, but the legal default is that the cost is yours.

What hidden fees should I watch for with other SAP providers?

Watch for: separate charges for the follow-up evaluation, per-report fees for sending compliance paperwork to your DER, travel or facility fees for in-person visits, and rushed 're-evaluation' fees if paperwork isn't done right the first time. Our flat fee includes all required Part 40 reports.
