What does 'SAP PA' mean?
SAP PA is shorthand for a DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional practicing in Pennsylvania. A SAP conducts the federally required evaluation under 49 CFR Part 40 after a positive DOT drug or alcohol test — or a refusal — and guides you through the return-to-duty process.
Do I have to use a SAP based in Pennsylvania?
